Walnut Bend Elementary School, located in Houston, Texas, takes its name from the Walnut Bend community that it proudly serves, following the tradition of several other campuses within Houston ISD. The school first opened its doors in 1964, providing generations of students with a strong educational foundation. After more than four decades of service, the original building was replaced with a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in 2007, designed to meet the needs of 21st-century learners while continuing the school’s legacy of excellence in education.
