Parking Information

When visiting Walnut Bend Elementary at 10620 Briar Forest Drive, Houston, TX 77042, please follow the designated parking and traffic procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • All vehicles must enter the school parking lot via Walnut Bend Lane and exit onto Briar Forest Drive.
  • Parking behind the building and in front of the gym and cafeteria is reserved for staff, while the designated spaces at the front of the school (SPARK Park area) are reserved for school administration and visitors. All other available spots may be used by visitors.
  • The exit is divided by cones into two lanes: one for right turns and one for left turns. Upon exiting, drivers are strongly encouraged to turn right to avoid crossing the median. Please choose the appropriate lane before reaching the exit.
  • Please do not park across the street at the Walnut Bend Recreation Center, as it is not affiliated with HISD or Walnut Bend Elementary.
  • Additionally, there is a dip along Briar Forest Drive where parents may pull over and park temporarily.
